This site is dedicated to the memory of David Hilton-Gee.

David was worried he needed a new medical certificate covering his absence from work in his last week, but, given the comments made by some of the medics looking after him, he joked that perhaps he should ask for a death certificate instead. Isaac Asimov once said, "Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome..." but David's smile never faltered. One of a kind, David was a gentle man who looked after his friends and family even during the seven and a half years he battled with lung cancer. Phenomenally intelligent, David was a member of MENSA who never lost the ability to inspire everyone he met or make people laugh, even during those last few days when the cancer took his ability to speak, read and walk. Please help David to continue to care for people still battling this dreadful disease by giving whatever you can to this tribute to such a wonderful man, or by lighting a candle in his memory, as he lit up the lives of those he knew.
